A Shabbat Service at Chabad is much more then just a religious experience. It's also a rewarding & learning opportunity for all. The informal and casual setting eliminates any feelings of irrelevance and boredom. It offers a personal touch with a soul-stirring effect. Occasional explanations on the relevance, history, and inspiration behind selected prayers will invite you to connect with their deeper meaning - and bring them home in an internalizing and satisfying way.
Without question, the feature attraction of our Shabbat Service is the casual communal discussion forum that takes place after the Service amidst a deliciously prepared Kiddush luncheon. Enjoy traditional Shabbat cuisine and feast on lively in-depth discussions on a wide variety of topics of vital Jewish interest. Share your own ideas, learn from others, be inspired by a touching story, or learn a new Chassidic song. The opportunities available to you are endless!
Whether you are a veteran or novice, these Services are geared for you! Joyous song, joint readings, and the personalized touch for which Chabad has become famous, combine to make for a memorable experience every time. Our prayer books offer excellent translations, as well as a steady diet of valuable reference information. We encourage participation by all men and women in the community. [Note that we do abide by the religious requirements of separate seating in a respectful manner.]
Shabbat Services take place periodically on Saturdays beginning at 10:00 AM, and you may stay as long as you wish. As our community grows we continually hope and try to implement a greater degree of frequency into our calendar of scheduled services.
Every Service is generally followed by a sumptuous round-table Kiddush offering a wide array of traditional Shabbat & Festival cuisine. The atmosphere is inviting, relaxed, and spiced with wonderful discussions revolving around inspiring Jewish content.
